The Confession of Our Hope

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ,

Sunday we will look at the need for Christians to fellowship with one another, drawing from Hebrews 10:24-25 which tells us not to neglect meeting together. I also want you to note the preceding verse, Hebrews 10:23: Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. He who promised to never leave nor forsake you (Joshua 1:5; Hebrews 13:5) is faithful. 1 Peter 3:15 tells us to always be ready to give a reason for the hope we have. Has Jesus Christ saved you? You have a testimony! You have a great confession of the hope you have received from our Lord. Never forget the kindness and mercy of our God. But also never forget his severity and wrath against sin (Romans 11:22) – wrath you have been saved from, a salvation others need to hear about.
