Immanuel Baptist Church

Immanuel Baptist Church offers Sunday School classes for students of all ages. Most of our Sunday School classes use some form of the Sunday School material provided by Lifeway Christian Resources. Below you will find a list of our classes and teachers. Just ask one of our greeters to help you find the class you would like to attend.

Classes for Children and Youth

• Pre-School Noah’s Ark, taught by Judy Cleghorn
  A fun place for pre-school children where we can worship God and enjoy Jesus as we sing, learn, and play.
• Children’s Sunday School, taught by Dick Clagett and Heather Creel
  Our Children’s Sunday School classes are for children from first through fifth grade. We gather each Sunday morning at 9:45 for a kid-friendly lesson from God’s word. It is a time of Bible study and rich discussion of a topic that students can apply to their daily lives. The Sunday School lesson is reinforced by music and a game, craft, or other meaningful activity. After having a snack together, we head to the sanctuary for worship. Join us for this wonderful time of studying God’s Word!
• The Upper Room, taught by Nathan Creel
  A place for youth to hang out while learning more about God’s Word. Join us for a time to be challenged to grow and learn more about God.

Classes for Young Adults

• College and Career, taught by Auston Conrad
  A place for college students and those new to the work force. We gather for a time of fellowship and study in Scripture.

Classes for Adults, Co-ed

• Disciples of Christ, taught by Mark Mercer
  A class where we gather to learn how to be better disciples of Jesus Christ. We enjoy a time of discussion of God’s Word as well as sharing needs and requests with one another.
• Open Adult Bible Study Class, taught by Monroe Morris
  We want anyone who is not presently in a class to join us. We are open to anyone, single or married, retired, employed, or students of all ages.
• The Bereans, taught by Buddy Rehberg
  We welcome men and women to join with us as we study the Word of God and learn how to apply its teachings to our lives.

Classes for Adult Men

• Faithful, taught by Dick Lovejoy
  This is a class of men who use the Explore the Bible series. We encourage members to engage in free and open discussion.
• Senior Ambassadors Men’s Class, taught by John Price
  A class for men who want to learn and grow in God’s Word.
• The Simeon Class, taught by Joe Fleming
  Faithful to the end, this class of senior men gathers to encourage one another while sharing in the discussion of God’s Word.

Classes for Adult Women

• Upper Room Ladies, taught by Neva Rodgers
  We use Christ’s example of learning through Scripture, lecture, discussion, compassion, friendship, and love.
• Rebecca Class, taught by Don and Jo Redmon
  Our class is open to anyone and is currently attended primarily by senior ladies.
• Jewels Class, taught by Lil Price
  We are a class of very loving and committed women who enjoy a mix of lecture and discussion in our Sunday School time.
• Mary Martha Ladies Class, taught by Martha Greeson
  We are a class of senior adult ladies who enjoy fellowship while we study the Word of God. We welcome visitors and new members to join us.
• Hannah Ruth Senior Ladies Class, taught by Jean Bartlett
  This is a small class of older ladies that enjoy studying the Bible. These caring ladies keep up with each other on a regular basis.
